My Personal Entertainer

It is not uncommon to see people with colorful wires sticking out of their heads, hooked up to some kind of music maker or picture player. Whether they are running, cycling, walking, getting somewhere or just tuning out the world, these compact personal entertainers are precious! At least for whomever it’s hooked up to it.

Size matters! Many friends with personal entertainers have told me that a few gigs are more than enough, and they wouldn’t know what to do with the larger ones, like the 60gb one I’ve got. Trust me, for some of my other friends; we’re out of space! Help! Need to save up for a bigger entertainer!!! Ok ok… to each his/her own…

From the almost thousands of audio tracks to heart wrenching seat gripping videos, with the odd side-ripping podcast tossed in, the world is a happier place on the way to work, on the way to dinner, a brisk walk along the coast, even on the treadmill…

Huge thank you to my ex-boyfriend to let me keep his gift from a couple of years ago. Did get him 31gbs back though. :-p

B.J.M.s!

Thank you to Chris Mele Cotte for this recipe. It was part of Square Pixel’s Monday Muffin Roundup.

For someone who does badly in the kitchen, this was as good as a ready mix. A pint of Ben & Jerry’s Fossil Fuel, which melted on the way home in the car, it was a really hot day… mixed with 125grams of sifted self-raising flour, made just 8 muffins. The choc-maniac in me added candy-coated chocolate candies AND small dark chocolate bars into each of the muffin cups. It took only another 20minutes in a 190 degree Celsius oven.

Good thing there were the chocolates, on the whole the muffins were a little dry. “Healthy” was how my sis-in-law had described it, not enough butter/fat? Will let the rest sit overnight and see if they do turn “muffin-y”. ☺

Note: Don’t put the candied coated chocolates on the top of the muffins, the colors melt all over the top… not a pretty sight…

Thank you to my triathlete, biathlete, super athlete husband for allowing me to invade his space (the kitchen) this afternoon.

A day later at work, some liked them 'cos of the plentiful chocolate but some still found it too dry... I think I'll try again but with less flour.

Cellular Phone Technology

Recently I procured a new mobile phone, for most people this is not a big deal, but for me, the last phone I was using was a year-old hand-me-down, and the phone before that was a four and a half year monochrome monotone phone. Hence when I got my hands on a brand new 3.2-mega-pixel camera, mp3 playing, and multicolor-screened mobile technological wonder… I took lots of pictures, lots of pictures!

This phone has a fun selection of picture frames and many friends have fallen victim. Some smile, some cringe, some snigger, some amazed, but this one left us laughing out loud.

Thank you to the advancement of handheld telephone technology and very game friends.

Note: Can't upload the picture... will try at another time :-(
Note 2: Got the picture uploaded! :-)
