Mary - Day 1

We were off to our annual May Day retreat on the Kaleebso. This is our 5th trip with them since 2004! And this is the first time we've combined scuba diving with fishing! 9 budding divers with 1 fisherman.

We begin with that bunch of bananas which has never
failed to join us for every trip.

Here is a list of the gastronomic adventure which Mary had set up for the super yummy 4 days we were on board. Keep your mouths closed! :-)

Day 1 - Breakfast

I didn't get up early enough for breakfast on any of the 4 days but there was food leftover for my late morning meal. :-)

Egg omelets, 2 types of mini sausages (there was cheese in one type), and maggi mee goreng.

There were also french roast, pandan cake and coconut & red bean buns!

A healthy end to Day 1 - breakfast were melon and oranges :-)

Crab Stash! they ended up in a few dishes over the few days...

Day 1 - Lunch
There was fried tway tiao with clams! 'Sang meen' - the crispy egg noodles in a thick squid and vegetable sauce. And deep fried fish and sweet goreng pisang to finish it all off.

And this large unassuming pot of porridge has super yummy fish and crab!

Day 1 - Dinner
Rice with salmon sashimi (a loyal favorite on all out trips).
Roast duck.
A magic pot of wonders.
Battered fresh fish.
Deep fried large prawns.
Fresh mango dessert.

P.S.
chili always nearby for the spice lovers!
