Ah Yue was at the Esplanade Concert Hall 16th February 2008 as part of the Huayi Festival in Singapore.
It was punctual! Starting promptly at 730pm. Despite it being an 'unplugged' event, there was a keyboard synthesizer (somehow the synthesizer doesn't count...) and the evening was very sedate for such a performer. Most songs were spent standing... He said that is was kinda fun pretending to be 'si wen'... roll eyes...
Even with MC Hotdog who performed 3 songs with Ah Yue, had a special 'tame' version of 我爱台妹 just for Singapore. Female Tiger was a good song too, sampling Three Blind Mice!
Half way through the main man himself even said that he'd noticed the audience had preferred the quicker songs but they had a repertoire of mainly slower numbers.
The first guy was the keyboardist was sang a Harlem Yu song, then another guy did a spoof of the May Day Hokkien song - 志明与春娇 - it was super funny!
At the end of the concert - no encore - there was a autograph signing session. It was very quiet and calm, no screaming, no yelling, even the markers scratching over the numerous CD covers, posters and t-shirts scratched quietly...
