Happy Valentine's Day

for 23 years we have known one another
through schools, graduations and various occupations
10 years ago we married each other
at our wedding we got drunk and got a standing ovation

his daily challenge is to save this world we live in
and in mine it's just to keep time
through his thick and my thin
somehow things will work out just fine
