A big warm thank you to a great hospitality person! I know they are called waiters or waitresses but sometimes you get the honor of meeting one who has pride and dignity in his or her profession. I had the privilege to meet one such individual. Yee Shih was more than just a waitress at our dinner gathering last night.
Being the night before a public holiday the restaurant was heaving at the seams. Her section was packed to the brim with a huge table of about 12 people, our table of 8, a table behind us with 4 and a couple to our side, she was holding up the sweetest smile all night. We were there 8:30pm through to past 11pm and she would chat and make sure we were all happy with our full glasses of cold ocha, cold water and sake.
The food was prompt, the table was cleared, dishes were changed, she was on top of keeping us joyfully pleased with being there and having her with us. She did a great job last evening and we are very thankful for making our evening even more enjoyable.
The objective of last evening was to celebrate a friend’s new employment. Here’s wishing her another successful career!
