Think of the money
Things don't often work out the way I want them to but when your career hits a detour, what do I do? Think of the money and the bills that need to be paid. I'm destined to work for every penny I have but when ten months ago that really bad feeling changing jobs should have given me some indication of what kind of company this is.... Think of the money!

It's amazing how inefficient this desktop computer is!

Wasted Time
It's interesting how you can read in magazines and newspapers the monetary value of time spent at work doing non-work stuff. Saw a giant figure for the value of time wasted by employees watching the Olympics at work. I wonder if there is a number out there for the time wasted waiting for an extremely slow work computer to do anything???
Such a waste of time...

How could this happen?
Then I was offered a different department which I accepted as a challenge. Little did I know the biggest challenge would be to work daily with a very loud and rude individual. About 6 months later an opportunity presented itself to transfer to another department with a way nicer person to work with.
So for 2.5 months I have been covering both departments until a new person transfers to take over the earlier department. Then this week, this new department made 13 artists redundant, and is losing 2 of its 4 production team members.
The reason I was given for being 'loaned out' to a non-production role was because management could not appear to target the new transfers so they picked me over the new transfer. Now why the other 2 at ny level were not selected I can only guess, and these are not kind guesses.
This company has lied and manipulated so many people it's a wonder how it's over three decades old.
If only the people in charge will get their act together, and make their centuries of experience mean something more than the mismanagement of over 100 lives maybe this project will have a hope of completion?

World-renown champagne-maker Perrier-Jouët has also joined in the revelry to offer 2 complimentary historic flutes for every bottle purchased by diners online at a special price (so special, it cannot be revealed!). Diners can get to choose from a selection of 2 red wines and 2 white wines by Wyndham Estate and Graffigna (exclusively offered by Pernod Ricard - the world's co-leader in wines and spirits).
From the http://marketing-interactive.com/news/34493 page:
Playing its part as an event partner, Perrier-Jouët will be offering two historic flutes for every bottle purchased by diners online, allowing them to choose from a selection of two bottles of red wine and two white by Wyndham Estate and Graffigna.
